October is Mental Health Month 🖤 and once again, we’re putting One Foot Forward for the Black Dog Institute.

Because mental health touches all of us.

Someone we love. Someone we work with. Someone we pass in the street. Maybe ourselves.

We want to keep having the conversations that help break down the stigma around mental illness — and make it easier for someone to say “I’m not okay” and reach out for help before they reach crisis point.

So this October, we’re moving and raising funds to support the incredible work of the Black Dog Institute.

👟 Want to join our team and move with us?
🖤 Want to donate and help us reach our goal?

Comment WALK below and we’ll send you all the details.

Every kilometre. Every dollar. Every conversation.

It all matters. 🖤

We’ve seen fruit mince pies in the supermarket.

So apparently… we’re going there. 🎄😂

85 sleeps until Christmas.

Now, 85 days sounds like plenty of time… until you realise that for most of you, that’s only about THREE appointments with us before Christmas. 😳

And yep — the diary is already starting to fill.

So while we’re not suggesting you put the tree up just yet, we are suggesting you get those pre-Christmas appointments locked in. 😂

✨ Facials
✨ Brows & lashes
✨ Waxing
✨ Your pre-Christmas skin plan

Because every year December arrives approximately 47 times faster than expected.

85 sleeps. About 3 appointments. Book them now. 🎅🏼🎄

Don’t say we didn’t warn you. 😉

How has it already been ONE WEEK since our Spring

How has it already been ONE WEEK since our Spring Skin Soirée?! 🥂✨

A little double-time look at what was a very full, very fun night at Essenza — moving between rooms, watching treatments in action, talking all things skin and generally having a bloody good time. 😂

To everyone who came along — thank you. We loved having you and the feedback on this year’s new format has been incredible. 🫶

And if you missed it… well… we’re sorry to say, you really did miss a good one. 👀😂

Put Spring Soirée 2027 in the mental diary now.

BUT — if watching this has made you think, “Okay, I really need to do something about my skin…” you don’t need to wait until next year.

Meet Rosie 🌹 — our new advanced skin scanner that lets us look beyond what we can see on the surface and helps us create a Skin Fitness Plan specifically for YOUR skin, goals, time and budget.

Comment ROSIE below and we’ll send you the link to book your Skin Fitness Consultation. 👇

What if the thing you can SEE on your skin isn’t a

What if the thing you can SEE on your skin isn’t actually where the story begins?

Hormones. Gut health. Stress. Sleep. Medications. Inflammation. Lifestyle. Barrier function. Sun exposure.

They can all form part of the bigger picture.

That’s why good skin therapy isn’t simply:

Pigmentation = brightening serum.
Breakouts = acids.
Redness = sensitive moisturiser.

Sometimes we prescribe a product or treatment.

Sometimes we tell you to do LESS.

And sometimes we suggest having a conversation with your GP.

Because we’re not here to chase symptoms or sell you another jar.

We’re here to understand your skin and help you make informed decisions about what it actually needs.

We prescribe, not sell.

“She’s so lucky.”

Maybe.

But what you don’t always see is everything that happened behind the scenes.

The late nights.
The tears.
The doubt.
The people she outgrew or lost along the way.
The investment in herself when it would have been easier not to.
The days she wanted to throw it all in — and chose to keep going.

And something else I’ve learnt along the way?

You don’t have to do the hard stuff alone.

One of the things I’m most proud of after all these years isn’t just the business we’ve built at Essenza — it’s the community around it.

The women who support us. The conversations we have. The people who check in, show up, share the hard stuff and remind each other to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Which is exactly why One Foot Forward means so much to us.

This October, we’re moving our bodies and raising funds for Black Dog Institute — but more importantly, we’re helping keep conversations about mental health out in the open.

Because sometimes “keeping going” literally looks like putting one foot forward.

And it’s a whole lot easier when you know there are people walking beside you. 🖤

Sometimes the highlight reel doesn’t tell the whole story. ❤️

With October being Mental Health Month and our One Foot Forward challenge for the Black Dog Institute about to begin, I think it’s important to share the not-so-shiny moments too.

Because you can be grateful, successful, surrounded by wonderful people and doing something you absolutely love… and still have really bloody hard days.

Both things can be true.

And if you’re having a rough day, I see you. Tomorrow is another day. ❤️
