I’ve pledged to move 150km throughout October to raise awareness and funds for mental health research, education and support.

Coming off the back of @off_the_floor__ , I’m feeling less of the adrenaline now and more of this beautiful, calm energy.

I met people I’ve followed online for years, had conversations that were raw and vulnerable, laughed, listened, learned… and came home thinking about so much more than business.

Because growth doesn’t only happen in business rooms.

It might happen at a breathwork session. A Pilates class. Over a facial. At an event. In a conversation with someone you’ve never met before.

Sometimes you just have to be brave enough to walk through the door.

Find the rooms that stretch you.
Find the people you can learn from.
Stay curious. Keep growing.

Today I had to take a little bit of my own advice. 🤍

I walked into an industry event not really knowing anyone… and yep, I felt a little emotional and definitely outside my comfort zone.

But I walked in anyway.

And before long, I was meeting new people, having conversations, learning, sharing and remembering exactly why putting yourself in rooms like this matters.

It also made me think about our Spring Skin Soirée.

We hear from people who want to come but feel nervous about coming on their own. And I get it. Walking into a room where you don’t know anyone can feel BIG.

But please know — you will be welcomed. 🫶

Most of our guests come on their own, and the whole purpose of the night is to create a relaxed, welcoming space where you can ask questions, learn about your skin, see treatments in action and understand what might actually help you on your skin journey.

Sometimes the good stuff is just on the other side of feeling a little uncomfortable.

Step outside your comfort zone.
Come by yourself.
Meet some new people.
Learn something new.
And take another step towards your best skin. ✨

You can learn a lot about business from books, podcasts and courses… but there’s something different about being in a room with people who truly understand what it means to own one. 💛

The decisions. The responsibility. The wins. The WTF moments. 😂 The constant learning, adapting and wondering what’s next.

I’m on the Gold Coast for two days at Off The Floor, filling my cup (and hopefully my brain 🧠) alongside a room full of other business owners.

I went to my first industry business event about nine years ago, absolutely terrified and knowing no one. I walked away with connections that I still have today.

That’s why I keep showing up to these things.

Because growth doesn’t happen in isolation.

It happens through conversations, shared experiences, new perspectives, uncomfortable questions and being surrounded by people who want to see each other succeed.

To the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles, father figures, mentors — and the mums who have had to be both Mum and Dad.

Today is about celebrating the people who show up.

The ones who teach, guide, encourage and protect. The ones who lead by example, make us laugh, give the best (and sometimes questionable 😂) advice, and help shape the people our children grow up to become.

Because having strong, kind and supportive role models in our children’s lives matters. And sometimes, “Dad” isn’t necessarily a title — it’s a role filled by someone who simply chooses to be there.

We know today can hold lots of different emotions for different people, too. So however Father’s Day looks in your world, we’re sending a little extra love your way today.
